Tl* the contact owned a 2008 buick lucerne. While driving at 45 MPH, the vehicle lost power and began to emit smoke. The contact opened the hood and the vehicle burst into flames. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed and destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,200.
On july 26, 2016, while driving on cleveland drive, lots of smoke started coming out from under the hood of the car then all of a sudden fire started to shoot out as well. There were no issues previously with the car as it was in perfect condition inside and out. I contacted buick to see if the car was ever recalled but it was not, however, it probably should have been. Now I am without a car because it was deemed a total loss. I attached pictures but did need to upload the fire dept report.
