What owners wrote
Original fuel line location caused friction and wearing on the braided fuel line. This wore a hole clear through the line spewing gasoline all over a very hot engine! I was the one who originally brought this to the attention of the internet 'pt community'. Please stress a recall on this issue. Very concerned for those who have no 'net access!! They have to be notified somehow! Some folks who didn't bother to check.. Because they have a 'later model' 2001. And we've already established that this is not relevant.
Gas gauge malfunctioned. It indicated that there was no gas in the tank, even though the tank was full. Dealership was notified. The fuel sending unit failed. The sending unit provided false fuel level infomation to the fuel gauge on the dash..
