Tl* the contact owns a 2000 chrysler sebring convertible. While pulling out of a car wash, the vehicle was shifted into drive with the brake pedal depressed. The vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot were it was awaiting inspection. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000. Updated 05/16/17
I've been having problems with the brakes of my 2000 sebring shortly after I purchased it from star chrysler in glendale ca. It only had 14,800 miles on it. I'm the second owner. I can't really hit my brakes and they wear out really fast. Chrysler did nothing about this. These brakes are defective, unsafe and poorly designed. I constantly have to replace them. It's very frustrating. I have to put my car in low gear to go down hills and off ramps so the brakes don't wear out.
