What owners wrote
Driving a 2005 chrysler sebring, started to rain and skidded sideways into a curb. The air bags deployed and smoke started to billow from the steering wheel area. The other bag broke the windshield. I turned off the ignition and got out of the car. I suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Upon release from the hospital I went to put on my coat and discovered that it was me that had been on fire. 1/3 of the sleeve had been burned by the exploding air bag.
The horn just randomly goes off. To get it to stop I had to pull the fuse which also disconnects the air bag. After reading about the exact same problem by hundreds of sebring owners, I feel that chrysler should replace the horn and air bag (chrysler mechanic told me it was all one unit and to replace it would be over $700). This is a safety issue, not only for me but for others on the road.
