I was in a recent accident that caused over $4,500 in damage to the front end of my 2011 dodge avenger. I hit the vehicle in front of me travelling at over 20MPH and the airbags did not deploy and I braced myself against the steering wheel and thankfully was not injured. There are currently two open recalls for the airbag and seat belt restraint.
