What owners wrote

Our 2004 dodge durango was in our driveway in park, the engine turned off, radio on, both front doors open and keys still in the ignition. The truck had been sitting there for 5 minutes or more till I got my neighbor to help me unload a grill out of the back. My wife hopped into the passenger side to turn the radio down when the truck began to roll forward while in "park". My wife was knocked out of the truck and was hurt badly on her leg and it ran into my neighbor's car then rolled into the street.

My 2004 dodge durango stalls frequently...almost daily. I took the vehicle to the dealer after the first incident and the technicians were stumped and seemed unaware of the issue, which I have since learned is not uncommon. The stalls frequently occur at parking lot speeds, but have occurred while doing 50 km/hr and while under power. The higher speed stalls are a concern as the stall also kills power braking and steering. To restart the vehicle, you have to put it in n and turn ignition.
