What owners wrote
In my driveway put car into park and opened the door to get out and go close the garage door from inside the garage. Car was in park and stationary. Started walking to the garage and noticed car started moving forward. Opened the door and jumped in the car to stop it. Did not get into car in time and car ran into the garage with the front driver side of car. Car has scratches, dents, and paint chipping and peeling. From hitting garage. Garage was pushed back at impact site by about 2 or 3 inches.
Had pulled car into garage and thought car was in park. Had not turned rotary shifter all the way to park, so car was in reverse. Started to exit the vehicle and removed foot from brake and car started pulling backward. I jumped back into car and applied brake just as car door, which was ajar, struck garage framing, badly damaging door. If I had not been able to get back into the car I may have been killed because there was nowhere to move in the garage.
