Driver noticed smoke in vehicle after turning rear window wiper on. Later found that smoke was coming from rear door. When opened, it was very and the plastic was beginning to melt. Driver opened interior panel and found the insulation and wiring on fire. Months later the wiper stopped working and the air bag caution light came on simultaneously - fuse had burned out.
