What owners wrote
I have a 2007 nitro rt and it has been in the shop for uncontrolled acceleration. This was the first time this has occurred. It has been looked at by the dealership, chrysler and an independent engineer and they cannot diagnose the problem. The incident occurred one morning when trying to park my vehicle, I was almost to a stop and ready to put it in park when the engine revved and the wheels spun like I had stomped the gas but my foot was on the brake.
For 4 months since purchase of this vehicle 2007 dodge nitro it has been in the shop 8 times for issues such as; gas tank loose, stalling, lack of power, esp/bas lights malfunctioning, transmission mis-shifting, air bag malfunctioning. The dealer keep saying they are running updates but the problem still occurs. I am fearful of what could happen to me and my children while driving this vehicle and it malfunctions again.
