What owners wrote

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge ram 1500. While parking, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The contact mentioned that fumes of smoke were coming from the hood. The contact opened the hood and discovered that an unknown hose was spraying liquid onto the serpentine belt. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was not included in the NHTSA campaign number: 14v475000 (steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,000.

Cel came on for first time since buying truck 1 year ago after filling gas tank. Replaced gas cap; 3 months later same problem, replaced gas cap again. Today, 07/12/2019, same issue with cel coming on, but this time, fuel gauge dropped to empty after just filling gas tank. Turned engind off & restarted fuel gauge working again, but cel still on. Took gas cap off then reinstalled, fuel gage working, but cel still on.
