The charger port warning light was illuminated. The contact attempted to depress the brake pedal however, the vehicle failed to decrease in speed; the vehicle suddenly became difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was veered onto the sidewalk and the front driver's side of the vehicle crashed into a street lighting junction box.
