Dt: 2001 GMC jimmy, faulty brake lights. The brake lights failed to operate, causing consumer's vehicle to be rear end, later the consumer found the brake lights had been recalled. Manufacturer had not informed the consumer. The consumer was the original owner. Manufacturer fixed the brake light problem, but would not rememberise the consumer for the other damage caused by the faulty brake lights.
Dt: the contact stated the vehicle had the same problems as indicated in NHTSA recall campaign 01v364000 concerning brake lights: switch. However, this vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN.
