What owners wrote

Tires wear out exceptionally fast. Dealership authorized replacement of 4 tires in march 2000. At this time, the truck had approx. 16,500 miles. They were replaced due to extreme wear and numerous bulges. About 3 weeks after having these 4 tires replaced, while driving at approx. 20 MPH to make a turn, a tire blew. The tire separated from the rim on both edges and was just centered, hanging loosely from the rim, totally deflated.

April 2000

Today while trying to park my truck, I pulled into a parking spot and was going to back up, when I heard a whirring noise. I put the truck back in neutral, noise was gone, back in reverse noise has returned. No reverse. I abandoned parking and drove home. I had all forward gears. When I returned home, I put the truck in park..... No park the truck rolled ahead and almost hit another vehicle. Called GMC, was told to take to dealer.

Reported at 83,303 miles, October 2003
