What owners wrote
Takata recall started vehicle on 2-1-19 and after turning ignition on passenger air bag exploded out and the side panels followed. Vehicle was in park and had not been driven in a few days. It all happened extremely fast but I saw glovebox burst open and sparks fly out and the airbag sounded like an explosion! Scared to death! I jumped out unsure what was going on and the side panel bag grazed my face! Could have ended badly if happened while driving.
The front dash has cracked around the passenger side airbag, as well as around the speaker and over the steering column. The cracks initially started as small cracks a few years ago, but have drastically worsened over this past year and I now believe it is a safety hazard, especially if the passenger side airbag were to deploy. It's so bad that if it gets any worse the whole section between the speaker and passenger side airbag may break off.
