What owners wrote
We were driving South on [XXX] when lights on the dash started flickering and the vehicle switched itself to Neutral and had a sudden loss of power. We were lucky enough to get out of traffic and spent 5 hours waiting on Roadside Assistance and a tow truck. It was a very dangerous situation. 5 days later they said it needs a new engine. They plan to replace it with the same 6.2 engine. (same part number that is defective) The electrical safety system should be recalled.
The contact owns a 2022 GMC Yukon XL. While the contact’s wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle unexpectedly went into LIMP Mode, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle failed to accelerate to exceed 30 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission valve body had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
