I was driving off-road in my 2007 hummer h3 with a group of hummer owners. Driving on a flat dirt road, approaching the paved road, the side impact air bags deployed for no reason. H3 was going aprox. 35 MPH. I had my son with me in the front seat and he was hurt by the airbag. I've seen other reports of this happening with h3's and the issue should be corrected by GM. Either the sensor is defective or is set too sensitive for off-road driving. I'm thankful it didn't happen on a busy freeway or on a busy street.
