This is an ongoing safety issue that I've tried to get the dealership to address. From a stop or slow idle, the engine exhibits acceleration hesitation. This hesitation lasts up to 2 seconds and when trying to merge into traffic has nearly resulted in accidents numerous times. I believe a hyundai whistle-blower came forward recently to expose this ongoing issue but hyundai has yet to address it.
