In feb 2016 when I saw the recall on the news for airbags, I called to see if the infiniti fx35 2008 was recalled. I was told no recall the truck is fine. Now in july 2016 I receive a letter for a passenger airbag recall. Do you know if the driver airbag is being investigated? I'm curious to know, because my mom was killed in an auto accident, while she was driving the truck in dec. 2015. She had injury to her face, neck and more. What makes the passenger airbag inflate?

The vehicle was towed to infiniti of lafayette (6201 johnston st, lafayette, la) where it was diagnosed that the spiral cable and module for the driver's side air bags were faulty and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that they would not assume responsibility due to it being a takata issue.
