What owners wrote

The radio will turn off by itself and turn back on a few seconds later. All of the buttons in the center console become inoperable. The A/C controls also become inoperable and turns on by itself. It just doesn't turn on though, it turns on 90 degrees and starts blasting out. This is a safely issue because as a driver we never know when this air is just going to start blasting out at us like fire. If infiniti is smart enough to recall the sedan, they should do the same thing with the coupes.

Reported at 81,000 miles, April 2012 Crash

There is an apparent known defect in the 2003 infiniti g35 models. The radio and climate control will apparently lose all indicators, as if there is no power, but will continue to function, staying frozen on at their last settings. The radio volume or channels cannot be changed and the air conditioning/heater,etc. Are stuck on their last settings and cannot be changed without turning the car off. This is caused by a defective control board behind the dash.
