What owners wrote

Without warning the body control module shorts out draining the battery and damaging the multi-control switch on the steering column. Causing the headlights, interiorlights, running lights, windshield wipers, factory electric door locks, and dashboard lights to fail. This can cause a fire resulting in a total vehicle loss or loss of lighting at night while driving causing the driver to loose sight of the road.

2002 jeep liberty. Bought new. One owner. At approx 70,000 miles headlights began turning off and on by themselves at random - no pattern whatsoever. May do it several times daily for a week and then not at all for a month. Very dangerous at night due to suddenly you are driving in the dark and also other drivers (or even worse police officers) think you are flashing your lights at them. No one has been able to duplicate, find, or fix this problem.
