What owners wrote
When filling my 2008 jeep wrangler (2 door) with gas and the pump automatically shuts off about 0.5 gal of gas will spill out of the fill tube on me, my car, and the ground. Got a nice gas burn on my foot the first time this happened. The second time I stood away from the car not knowing if the problem was with the gas pump or my car.
Every time I fill my vehicle up with fuel, at the end of the fill up, fuel comes gushing out of the fuel tank neck, after the pump has performed its auto shutoff. At least 1 - 2 cups of fuel is spilled on the ground every time this occurs. The dealer said that I should idle at the pump for 60-90 seconds before performing a fill up. I have attempted this and it has no effect on the flue gushing out of the tank.
