Two days ago, the air bag warning light on the dash started intermittently illuminating along with an audible chime sounding when ever I turned the steering wheel. Driving straight ahead the light would go out. As of today, the light stays on continuously. After checking with posts on jk-forum.com (forum related to 2007+ jeep wranglers) I found that there is on going issue with the clockspring in the steering wheel area.
My 2009 jeep wrangler 4x4 has a issue regarding the air bag warning light. The light comes on intermittantly and the warning bell will go off. While I am driving. I am concerned that my air bag will not deploy when or if it is needed. I know this is a problem with theses jeeps and wonder why no recall? I am told it could be a clockspring problem.
