What owners wrote
I have a 2006 kia optima. The electric locks lock you in the car. Should I have an accident or should something else electrical happen causing a fire I would be dead! Kia has had this issue for years as I found looking on internet, they still have not corrected it.
Power door lock on drivers side will not open with the remote button or key. The doors unlock when remote is used, but when you pull the drivers door handle all doors lock. When in car with locked doors, you frequently cannot open the drivers door with door button or handle. In an accident, this door flaw could prevent the driver from escaping quickly. No action has been taken to correct problem to date. I will have the door latch system replaced as soon as possible.
