While driving under normal conditions and with significant distance from another vehicle in front of me, a small rock/pebble hit the windshield of my vehicle, which caused a rock chip. The rock chip quickly "spidered" out and spread within a matter of an hour. Currently there are known and report manufacturer defects with regards to Kia windshields, specific but not limited to the Telluride model. In my case I have a 2024 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro.
The contact owns a 2024 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH, a small rock struck the front windshield, creating a bullet-sized hole in the windshield. Additionally, while driving on the Interstate on two separate occasions, rocks struck the front windshield and caused chips in the windshield. The vehicle was taken to a glass center, where the windshield was replaced. The technician informed the contact that the glass was thin.
