Tl *- the contact owns a 2007 lexus 350. While driving 40 MPH the vehicle was struck on the front driver's side, which caused the vehicle to slide into a telephone pole head on. The front end damage amounted to $22,190. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. The driver was belted. The vehicle was towed and had been repaired. The driver sustained injuries. The manufacturer stated that the air bags did not deploy because the contact was belted , and because the impact of the crash was not hard enough.
Dash on rx 350 is cracking significantly. This cracking is so extreme that my wife was tempted to place a cover over the dash that would interfere with proper inflation of the airbag. I am concerned that other owners will place covers, tape, adhesives, or other measures over the bags and this could lead to an injury.
