What owners wrote

Vehicle experienced problems with sudden acceleration and jumping out of gear. Provide further details. Consumer ended up going through back wall of garage on one occasion, consumer states sometimes the rear tires would spin out of control even with foot on brake and the only way to stop sudden acceleration was to turn the ignition off, dealer convinced cosumer to lease another ls, however consumer is concerned what will happen with the other vehicle, if it would be sold and someone could be harmed. *slc

November 1999 Crash

From the day I bought the car the transmission has shifted strangely. Several visits to the dealer and they tried several "reflashes" on the transmission control module. No change. Recently the problem has gotten worse, and the car has stalled 3 times while under power, and numerous times while idling at a stop light. Hard shifts and erratic shifts around 40MPH are everyday driving occurances. Dealer told me 'that is how that transmission is designed'. That's crap. So's the transmission.
