Tl*the contact owns a 1994 lincoln town car. While driving 70 MPH, the contact attempted to disengage the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. The feature would not disengage and the vehicle suddenly accelerated and caught fire. Ford motor company stated that they would send a letter within 7-10 days. Ford would not inform him if the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign id number 07v336000 (vehicle speed control) and ford recall number 05s28.
