What owners wrote
While driving vehicle navigating a slight right turn at approximately 10 to 15 MPH power steering failed and dash light came on. Was unable to turn vehicle in time and hit a curb, causing damage to vehicle rim and tire.
My 22 year old son was turning into a parking spot with our 2009 mazda3, when the power steering failed. A light on the dash illuminated at the same time. It was a very hot day in the 90's when this happened. The air conditioner was also on. He did not shut off the car and was able to drive it home, with some difficulty, without the power steering. When I went to look at it later, after the car had cooled down, it was fine. The car purchased used and has 42k miles; so it is out of warranty.
