What owners wrote

In reference to campaign 06v028000 what is the basis for exclusion of some cars of the same year vs others? Just because the 7 cars that were part of the orginal complaint fall in the narrowly defined VIN range does not mean other cars of the same model and year do not have the same problem. The defective clusters are the same. I have a 2000 s500 with a failed cluster.

Reported at 120,000 miles, January 2017 Crash

I own a year 2000 mercedes s. The instrument cluster has developed inadequate illumination. There is a safety recall on this instrument cluster (number: 06v028000). The dealer refuses to make a replacement under the recall and mercedes USA denies that there is a recall. What should I do to have the defective instrument cluster replaced under the recall. Thank you.
