While driving or parking vehicle, it would either stall or die out for no reason; will not start right away; when driving occurs at various speeds. Had to have vehicle towed home when stalled last time. Have not taken to dealer yet. The cause for the vehicle's stalling was found to be fuel pump failure. The starter also failed. The passenger side window was fixed three times but the problem sitll continues. The consumer could not properly install a new child seat.

June 1997

Dt*: the contact stated while driving at various speeds the engine stalls without warning. This occurs more often in warmer weather. The vehicle restarts only after cooling off for at least 30 minutes. It has been inspected on several occasions; however the problem could not be duplicated. After researching the problems with this vehicle the contact believes the pfi ignition module is over heating, causing the stalling.
