What owners wrote
While driving at 55 MPH consumer drove over a dip. This caused consumer to lose control of the vehicle and run off the road. However, consumer was able to regain control of the vehicle. When attempting to get the vehicle back on the road the two front tires hit the pavement, causing the vehicle to roll over three times. Driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Defect-the frame above rear wheels is rusted out to the point of imminent failure. I fortunately was alerted to this possibility by another pathfinder owner and uncovered the fist sized holes in the frame above the rear suspension. Had I not been looking for it this could have LED to a horrific crash. In speaking to frame repair specialists and other pathfinder owners I have found that this is a very common problem in the 93-95 model years.
