Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. Approximately ten minutes after the contact's daughter came back with the vehicle, the alarm sounded and the vehicle burst into flames. There was no warning indicator. The fire department extinguished the fire and filed a report. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not return the contact's phone call. Two months after the fire, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system).

I own a 2009 nissan rogue with 44,000 miles on it. About 3 weeks ago my driver's seat wouldn't open from the outside, and about a week ago the same thing happened with the passenger seat. I am now obligated to enter my car through the back seat. I did my research and found that this has been happening to many rogues and there are even recalls on some model years (except for mine of course).
