I have a 2004 nissan titan crew cab 4x4 truck and I have had problems with the tailgate of the truck bed. It is very heavy and my wife has dropped it on herself several times. I have even dropped it myself. I believe nissan knows about this problem because they fixed it on the 2005 model. I believe there is a serious safety problem in the 2004 model and I believe that this needs to be fixed!
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 nissan titan. The contact stated that all of the door locks would become inoperable in extremely cold temperatures. In addition, the doors could not be opened. The contact would have to open the windows and open the door from the exterior of the vehicle. When the contact attempted to close the door, the door would not latch securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the door latches needed to be replaced.
