2009 Pontiac Vibe air bags problems

Tl*the contact owns a 2009 pontiac vive. While driving into a parking space attempting to park the vehicle at 5 MPH when the gas pedal was engaged, the vehicle accelerated and crashed into a fence. She received a ticket for careless driving. The insurance company towed the vehicle to the body shop. The vehicle will be repaired. She sustained fractured bones and the passenger received injuries to their chest, ribs and knee. The failure and the current mileage were 3,000.

Takata recall. Have not had an incident with airbag but cannot get a straight answer about what to do. My dealer, chesrown in delaware oh did not have any parts to fix the airbag as of 10/30/17. Received a recall letter march 2017 telling that my car is affected but not to call dealer as no parts available at that time. Now I have a card for tk holdings, inc. To contact dealer for fix received 10/30/2017. Seems like I am getting a run around and I can't find a resolution.
