2019 Ram 1500 brakes problems

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 22 MPH, an unknown vehicle crashed into the side panel, however, the air bag did not deploy. There were no warning lights illuminated. There was no reported fire or injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The local dealer was not contacted; the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000(Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal made an abnormal sound. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle at the residence.
