Recall 00V-032
MAZDA NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS recalled the 1999 Mazda Miata: Fuel system, gasoline (storage, tank assembly, filler pipe and cap).

What is wrong
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The non-return valve installed at the lower end of the fuel filler pipe can stick due to insufficient clearance between the valve case and the valve shutter combined with the material properties of the fuel hose between the filler pipe and the fuel tank.
The risk
This can cause a "hard to refuel" condition, and in some instances, a "fuel spit back" during refueling.
The fix
Dealers will replace the non-return valve with a modified return valve.

Owner notification began may 19, 2000.owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact mazda at 1-[removed].
