What is wrong

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light software is programmed incorrectly, which may cause the warning light to malfunction and intermittently illuminate.

The risk

An SRS system warning light that falsely illuminates could prevent the detection of an actual air bag system failure, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will update the restraints control module (RCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-[removed]. Land Rover's number for this recall is N664.

Notes from the manufacturer
