What is wrong

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 AMG G 63 and 2023 G 550 vehicles. The air-conditioning system may not have been filled with the correct refrigerant.

The risk

In the event of a crash, the incorrect refrigerant may leak and increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will replace the air-conditioning refrigerant, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 12, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-[removed]. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024030016.
