The dealer stated that the master cylinder was operating normally, however the brake fuel was contaminated. The insurance company stated that he was 100% liable.

Reported at 70,000 miles, August 2004 Crash

I noticed that after a few hundred miles of freeway driving, I was burning oil very fast, but it wasn't noticeably smoking, or leaking. I'd say I use about one quart of oil every 900 miles or so. I did an oil consumption test with a toyota dealership and they confirmed the problem. They refused to honor a recall in europe for this very problem because it was issued in europe and not the u.s.
