The car is equipped with an automatic transmission. It rolls back on the slope when the brake is released. Rolling back continues until the brake is pressed again. This happens while the transmission is in "drive". It rolls back usually when the car is driven at the low speed with frequent turns. Irvine autonation toyota lead technician marco stated that it is normal for some cars with a certain transmission (760ae?). He demonstrated with another rav4.
