Dt*: the contact stated while parked and activating the ignition switch, an arching came off and burned the ear piece of a cell phone traumatizing the contact's ear. No warning signal was present during the numerous incidents. The spark could be heard and seen every time there was an occurrence. The vehicle was taken to the dealership who checked all electrical grounding but no defects were found. The manufacturer was notified. Updated 10/11/06.
Our toyota sienna 2006 airbag light had been going on and off on the instrument panel. Took it to the toyota dealership, they insist they have never heard of this problem. There are multiple complaints on the internet for this model and year. Not to mention other models being recalled for the same problem.. They are not diagnosing the cause but trying to replace the entire system.(wiring harness, sensors and airbags) I believe an investigation as to the faulty component or components are in order.
