It has come to the notice of several VW 2006 jetta tdi owners that the rearview mirror does not operate correctly when flipped for nighttime use. For the second time in 3 years, my rear windshield has completely shattered without warning. The car was parked in the driveway. When I got in, I heard a loud pop. I looked back and saw that the rear windshield had completely shattered. I had not yet started the car. The first time that it happened 3 years ago, I was sitting at a red light and it shattered. The kids were in the car the first time and got glass on them.
