What owners wrote
Clutch problem: 5 speed manual transmission. Clutch sticks after pressing it in, when it comes back up. This happens when temperature is cold. Dealer checked out 4 times, could not reproduce problem. Independent mechanic found problem at once and states that clutch bearing needs lubricated otherwise will wear prematurely. Dealer refuses to do this. Light problem: problem exactly the same as 99-00 recall NHTSA campaign id: 00v405000. Year 2001 should get included in recall.
Transmission shifts with a clunk into 2nd and 3rd gears as well as into first. Hesitant to shift into first gear when moving from a stop. Transmission not safe!!!!
