While turning left my car was struck head on by another vehicle suddenly emerging from behind a snowbank and turning left from the opposite direction. Air bags deployed. Passenger behind the driver hit her head on the seat in front of her despite having her seatbelt fastened, and was mildly concussed. Thinking the problem was with the seatbelt pre-tensioning system.
Tl* the contact owned a 2011 acura tsx. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked at his residence, a popping noise was heard as the contact went to investigate he found the vehicle on fire. The contact stated that it may have been an electric problem. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No fire department report was filed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated before the incident. The vehicle has not been taken to local dealer. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet.
Backing car in garage when unintended acceleration ( mechanical ). Vehicle hit back wall causing extensive damage to home and vehicle.
While driving at approximately 45 MPH my power steering abruptly failed. The "check power steering" indicator came on. The steering wheel immediately locked up. I was able to get the car into a nearby store parking lot but steering ability was almost nonexistent. I had the car towed to my acura dealer who looked at the car and told me the electronic power steering component had failed and would need to be replaced. I researched this online and found that this seems to be a common problem with this make and model.
