What owners wrote

Ever since we owned this vehicle the headlights have always been dim. I had replaced the bulbs and it did not help. Dealer said it would be over 1500 to fix and it was not covered. I cant afford that so I told my wife we just will not try to drive it at night. On the 3rd of july my wife had to take the car to the store because I was not home. I told her please be careful. When coming into our neighborhood she miscalculated a right turn and ran off the road into the drainage ditch. She was shaken up but not hurt.

Low beam headlights on my 2013 cadillac srx are so dim that the vehicle cannot be operated safely at night. I have been informed that both headlamp assembly's need to be replaced at a cost of 1,250, as they are defective and simply replacing the bulbs will not remedy the low light output. GM is aware of the issue with the defective headlight components and has settled lawsuits in florida and california.
