What owners wrote

Intermittently, while in use, the windshield wipers malfunctioned, affecting visibility which resulted in a crash. Also when turning on the wipers, they won't work. Currently will be taking to dealres. There is a recall for this problem but this vehicle was not included in the recall although it has the same problem. Please provide further information and VIN#.

May 1998 Crash

Front windshield wiper motor stops intermittently, especially in inclement weather. Restarting requires lightly tapping the motor with the wiper switch in the on position. Current GM recall (#03023) only includes 95-97 astros. GM told me they expect 94's & 98's to be included in recall in near future. Owners with valid repair receipts will be reimbursed, according to my GM call.
