What owners wrote

The new chevrolet camaro has a defect in the manual transmission causing the clutch to burn out after only a few thousand miles. This problem is well recognized over the internet and clearly GM knows about it because they have already designed a new clutch which was installed on my car last week. However they did not notify me as a new owner of this potentially dangerous defect and did not even notify my dealer until I brought the car in.

Reported at 5,000 miles, July 2010

At high engine RPM (4000 RPM or higher)while merging in to traffic, transmission grinds or refuses to go in to second gear. This has happened several times in my car. GM replaced the transmission with the same type transmission and the same thing is still going on.
