Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet corvette. On 4/29/07 while sitting at a stop light preparing to drive the clutch would not engage, causing the rpms to increase at a higher rate. The driver smelled smoke and oil burning. This incident occurred twice within the same day. The dealer stated that they could not diagnose the failure. The current and failure mileage was 1000.
Automatic 6-speed transmission with auxiliary paddle shifters on steering wheel. When the car is stopped and in park, the console stick shifter gets stuck at random times after car has been stopped/parked and I can't put the stuck shifter into gear (it won't budge out of park). If the vehicle has been stopped and put into park momentarily in a hazardous area, e.g., a railroad track, and if the shifter stick is stuck in park, then the vehicle can not be moved off of the track until the shifter can be moved and the…
