What owners wrote
Egr valve stuck from contamination causing vaccum loss in brakes resulting in failure of brakes and near accidents due to loss of control.
From what I have been able to find out, there is a carbon build up in the engine, and when some of this carbon flakes off it causes the egr valve to stick open slightly. This in turn causes the engine idle very erratically and most of the time causes the engie to stall. This always occurs when slwoing down and stopping which is quite the safety hazard as when the vehicle begins to lose power and stall all the power options such as steering and brakes are also lost.
