What owners wrote
2005 chrysler 300 would not come out of a turn, steering mechanism and brakes became inoperable. Vehicle hit mailbox, phone box, fence and a residence. Vehicle had previously been taken to the dealership for service concerning the brakes but service dept could not find any problems.
Started car and tried to put it in gear. Could not get it out of park. A situation much talked about on line. The failure of the "transmission shifter interlock lever" commonly called "the pink thingy" on line some owners tell of having gotten a recall. I called my local chrysler dealer. He said it depended on where the car was built if there was a recall. Imagine how happy that made me !!!
